A “wall of blue” teamed up with a line of smiles at the Cordova Walmart Saturday. Law enforcement officers from multiple agencies took eager children on special Christmas shopping trips, courtesy of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Lodge No. 35.
The annual Cops-N-Kids event helps parents provide a jollier Christmas for their children if they need a little help putting presents under the tree.
The morning’s retail adventure is similar to “Shop with Cops” events in other locations.
Bartlett Police officers teamed up with fellow officers from the Memphis Police Department, the Memphis airport police, the University of Memphis Police Department, the Germantown Police Department, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and others for the popular shopping trip.
They met at 8 a.m. at the Walmart on Germantown Parkway at Trinity Road (577 N. Germantown Parkway, Cordova).
