Colleges and universities have provided the following announcements about local students.
- Hailey Ann Guzzo of Bartlett has been named to the spring 2016 dean’s list for South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D. She is a student in the College of Education & Human Science. Students eligible for this academic honor must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale.
- Katherine McCaffery of Arlington has been named to the spring 2016 dean’s list at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Eligible students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA for the semester.
- Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss., has named the following local students to its spring 2016 President’s List: Brandy Bledsoe and Kate Pillow, both of Bartlett; Brennan Bruce, Megan Moore, Hayden Perry and Anna Stewart, all of Cordova; and John Shamblin of Lakeland. Eligible students must have a 4.0 GPA on a 4.0 system and must take a full course load of at least 12 semester hours of undergraduate credit with all academic courses impacting their GPA.
- Mississippi College has named the following local students to its spring 2016 dean’s list: Eric Guyot and Teresa Hodges, both of Arlington; Emily Berry, Sarah Berry, Justin Hopkins, Amber Morales and Meagan Patrick, all of Bartlett; Janaye Green, Kathryn Winston and Elizabeth Wisdom, all of Cordova; and Cynthia Hartz of Lakeland. Eligible students must maintain a 3.5 or better GPA on a 4.0 system. The student must take a full course load of at least 12 semester hours of undergraduate credit with all academic courses impacting their GPA.
