Colleges and universitites have recently reported the following graduations and academic honors for students from Bartlett, Arlington and Lakeland.
Graduations
- Michael D. Campbell of Bartlett received his master’s degree in business administration at Park University in Parkville, Mo., on Dec. 16.
- Karen Holmes of Bartlett received her undergraduate diploma in the spring commencement ceremony at Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz.
- Misty Hayden of Arlington was among the December 2014 nursing class graduates at Dyersburg State Community College.
Honors
- Catherine Albert of Bartlett was named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Miss. To qualify, the student must be enrolled full-time and have a quality point average of 3.5 to 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.
- The following area students have been named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Harding University in Searcy, Ark.: Kristen Betts, a senior early childhood education major of Arlington; Hayden Wagner, a sophomore undeclared major of Lakeland; Charles Stanford, a senior accounting major of Lakeland; Madison Taylor, a freshman communication sciences and disorders major of Arlington; Tin Nguyen, a senior public relations major of Lakeland; Brenna McKee, a sophomore painting major of Arlington; John Dawidow, a senior biomedical engineering major of Bartlett; and Emily Rowsey, a freshman psychology major of Bartlett.
- John Tucker of Arlington has been named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga. Eligible students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better.
- Kristi Dimarco of Arlington and Kirstie Jackson of Bartlett were named to the president’s list for the fall 2014 semester at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, Miss. Those students completing 12 or more semester hours with a grade point average of 3.75 or better in a four-point system are on the President’s List.
- Two area students, Aileen Fitzgerald of Arlington and Edgar Guerin of Bartlett, were named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Belmont University in Nashville. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
- Hailey Ann Guzzo of Bartlett was named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D. She is studying in the College of Education and Human Science. Eligible students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Zachary Parker of Bartlett was named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, Miss. The dean’s list includes students completing a minimum of 12 semester hours with a 3.50 to 3.74 average.
- Christina Thomas of Arlington was named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Students named to the list earned at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and completed at least 12 degree credit hours during the fall session.
- Morgan White of Lakeland has been named to the fall 2014 dean’s honor roll at Oklahoma City University. Eligible students successfully complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
