Collegiate Corner for May 21, 2015

Area colleges and universities have announced recent academic scholarship, honors and graduations.

Scholarships

Two of the seniors in the 2015 graduating class of St. Benedict at Auburndale High School — the valedictorian and salutatorian — are among the Memphis-area’s 15 National Merit Scholarship winners.

SBA valedictorian Meghan Brino and salutatorian Jake McClure were recognized May 6 by the National Merit Scholarship Program as receiving the scholarship.

See more information about these and other graduates from Arlington, Lakeland and Bartlett in the May 28 issue of the Bartlett Express.

St. Benedict High School is the only Catholic School in Memphis with students receiving this honor and one of six Memphis private schools.
