Colleges and universities have released the latest information on academic honors and graduations for Mid-South students.
Honors
- Christina Thomas of Arlington has been named to the spring 2015 dean’s list for Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Eligible students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and complete at least 12 degree credit hours during the spring session.
- Morgan White of Lakeland has been named to the spring 2015 president’s honor roll at Oklahoma City University. Eligible students must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours during a semester and maintain a GPA of 3.9 or higher.
- Jessica D. Brewer of Arlington, a sophomore history major, has been named to the spring 2015 dean’s list at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. Eligible students must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework.
- Morgan White of Lakeland has been named to the spring 2015 president’s honor roll at Oklahoma City University. Eligible students must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours during a semester and maintain a GPA of 3.9 or higher.
Graduates
- Cameron Bowman of Bartlett graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, with a bachelor of arts in political science on May 9.
- Bethany Ann DeFir and Deanna Nicole Stafford, both of Bartlett, graduated from Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, Miss., during May commencement exercises.
- In May, Jennifer Bearden of Bartlett graduated from the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Bearden, the daughter of Kathy and Trevis Ligon, achieved the honor of law school clinic while at Bowen Law.
- Andra Elizabeth Guzzo of Bartlett graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D., on May 23.
- Ryan W. McKenney of Bartlett graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University in May with a bachelor of arts in political science. He is the son of Ed and Barbara McKenney.
- Kaitlyn Miller of Arlington graduated from Columbia State Com-munity College in Col-umbia, Tenn., on May 9.
- Steven Kaspar of Arlington graduated in May from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Penn., with a bachelor of science in computer engineering. He is the son of Michael and Debra Kasbar and a graduate of Evangelical Christian School.
- Kaitlyn Favorite of Bartlett graduated from Benedictine College in Atchinson, Kan., on May 16 with a bachelor of science in nursing.
- Bartlett resident Eleanor Null, O.D., has graduated with a doctorate in optometry from Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis. She is the daughter of Lacy Null and a graduate of Wingfield High School and The University of Memphis, where she received a bachelor of science in biology.
- The following area students graduated from Park University’s Naval Support Activity Campus Center in Millington, Tenn., on May 29 in commencement exercises held at the CrossPointe Baptist Church:
