Colleges and universities have recently released information about area students who have achieved academic honors, graduated or were awarded scholarships.
Honors
Six Mid-South students were among the 400 students recently named to the dean’s list for the fall 2014 semester at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville. They include Chandler Foster, Devon Halliburton, Kaitlin Jordan and Linsey Jordan of Arlington; and Hope Kenerly and Kip Kenerly of Bartlett.
Scholarships
Two Mid-South students have received scholarships from Western Governor’s University, a nonprofit, online university.
Stephen Gooch of Bartlett and Robin Markart of Cordova each received the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Scholarship.
Graduation
Brian Connor Evans of Bartlett will graduate from Vanderbilt University in Nashville in May with a 3.825 grade point average (GPA) and a doctorate of philosophy in biomedical engineering.
He currently holds one U.S. patent, plays semi-pro soccer with the Nashville Futball Club and has a long list of academic honors, mentoring, and competitive honors.
He is the son of David Evans and Debra Griste-Evans of Bartlett.
