
Walking through Bartlett this weekend, people will see historical figures, enjoy carriage rides and browse through history displays.
The event is History Weekend, “Bartlett Memories,” presented by the Bartlett Historical Society. Activities will be 11 a.m.-3 p.m. April 16 and 2-5 p.m. April 17.
Participants are honoring the city’s 150th anniversary.
Beginning at the Bartlett Museum, 2969 Court St., there will be walking tours of historic homes and historic churches, a vintage car display, the Bartlett Stagecoach on display, and carriage rides.
Bartlett High School will play home to history displays of organizations and people portraying historical figures.
In the school auditorium on Saturday, visitors can enjoy high school jazz bands. At 2 p.m. on Sunday, the auditorium will offer an original play “Happy Birthday Bartlett,” performed by Altruria second grade classes and written by teacher Ashley Spriggs.
