Bartlett will be home to this year’s Les Passees Stock Exchange pop-up store, which will operate Sept. 8-Oct. 30. The upscale consignment store will have a vast assortment of goods.
This year’s location at 6600 Stage Road is in the Stage Centre shopping mall at the northwest corner of Whitten and Stage roads.
Les Passees, a non-profit organization, is the oldest volunteer woman’s organization in Memphis, according to spokesman Jane Forbes Harris. Their proceeds benefit children’s charities and the Harwood Center’s learning disability classrooms. They also benefit Mid-South school performances by the Kids on the Block, a nationally recognized puppet troupe.
Consignors
Consignment is open to the public now through Oct. 27 during the hours of 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Consignors receive 70 percent of the sales price, and the rest goes toward the Les Passees charitable works.
Les Passees does not accept appliances, books, clothing, computers, electrical items (except lamps), exercise equipment, guns, knives, toys, typewriters or vacuum cleaners. It also doesn’t accept any items priced under $5. There is a $20 processing fee for each 50 items consigned. Consignors must provide movers for large pieces of furniture.
Unsold merchandise must be picked up by Oct 27 at close of business. Any items left after this date will be considered a donation to Les Passees and will be sold during the final days of operation.
Shoppers
The store will be closed for the Preview Party setup on Thursday, Sept. 8.
The Preview Party will be 7-10 p.m. Sept. 8, with donations of $25 accepted in advance or $30 at the door. Shopping will begin Sept. 9, and hours will be 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The Stock Exchange will have the following hours through Oct. 30:
- 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
- 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Thursday
- 1-4 p.m. Sunday
- Closed on Mondays
The store will be closed on Oct. 28 in preparation for the final two days of deeply discounted sales. Then items will be 50 percent off on Oct. 29 and 75 percent off on Oct. 30.
