Cars and Coffee

The Healthier Bartlett Committee was on hand to dispense free granola bars, donuts and donated coffee (provided by Einstein Bros.) at Saturday morning’s car show in W.C. Freeman Park in Bartlett. An estimated 75-80 gleaming classic and modern cars showed up and filled a side parking lot.

The first-time “Cars and Coffee” event supplemented the attractions of the adjacent Bartlett Station Farmers Market, which operates 8 a.m.-noon on Saturdays now through Sept. 22.

Vendors vary at each session of the farmers market, but those registered for the 2018 season include Smok’d Meats, Roots Juice & Pops, Marla’s Garden, Cathy’s Canine Complements (aromatherapy for dogs), Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (baked goods), Wilson Blueberry Farm, Sandy’s Farm, Jaybear Bake Shop, Deer Creek Farms, Donna’s Kettlecorn, Lilee’s Gourmet Bakery (zucchini muffins and loaves), Heavenly Essence Soaps (goats’ milk soap), SoPetty (sugar scrubs, sugar waxes and body oils), Mammaw Melton’s Heirloom Garden Produce, Eggs & more, McFresh Fruits & Veggies, The Garden (hostas and ferns) and BOHO Farms LLC (mushrooms, mini greens and more).
