
Calvin Phillip Davis, known as Cal, 67, passed away on March 18, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. Cal is the son of Jesse and Lillian (Sane) Davis and grew up in east Tennessee, where his heart is “Orange.”
He married his sweetheart, Connie G. Ogle on Sept. 6, 1966. His favorite pastimes were classic cars, airplanes, and University of Tennessee Volunteer sports, especially football.
Cal served his country as an air traffic controller in the U.S. Navy for over 22 years, earned several medals, and retired as a first class petty officer. Cal also retired from Federal Express after 20 years, where he worked as an overseas flight coordinator.
He is survived by his wife; their only child, Sandra (Rick) Bensley; twin granddaughters, Lauren and Melissa; one great granddaughter, Peyton; and his loving Aunt Joyce (Bill) Watson (Sane).
Services will be held at a later date at the Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
