Calling all volunteers: Girl Scouts needs you

Girl Scouts Heart of the South - logo-smallGirl Scouts Heart of the South, based in Memphis, has many opportunities for people to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of girls in the Mid-South. Volunteers get to be their cheerleader, guide, and mentor, helping them develop skills and confidence that will last a lifetime.

The Heart of the South office is asking citizens to help delivery the program by starting a troop.

“‘The work of today is the history of tomorrow, and we are its makers,’ was a famous quote of Girl Scout Founder Juliette Gordon Low,” said Annie Roby, Recruitment Specialist for Girl Scouts Heart of the South. “Being a volunteer for a young girl today will not only make her history bolder and brighter, but her future as well.”

Registration for the 2018 membership year is happening now. Roby is looking for volunteers to help us provide the Girl Scout program to girls ages 5 to 17.
