Brimhall Foods held a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 15 for its new state-of-the-art production lines in its 3045 Bartlett Corporate Drive plant.
Among the guests were Shelby County mayor Mark Luttrell, Bartlett mayor Keith McDonald, and Chris Connolly with U.S. Rep. Stephen Fincher’s office.
General manager Michael Patrick said, “The concept for the new production lines started several years ago to improve efficiencies and capacity. We feel very blessed and are excited to see this project come to fruition.”
The new production lines are used to make the company’s popcorn and corn snacks, using the latest technology and computer controls. Construction began last fall, and Dan Reid of Renasant Bank provided the financing for the project.
Assistant plant manager Nick Brimhall said, “We were out of space in these departments before and are very happy with the larger area and the new equipment.”
Brimhall Foods was founded by Terry and Becki Brimhall and began producing the Brim’s brand pork rinds in 1982 on U.S. 70 in Bartlett. The business moved to its current location in 1987, adding popcorn and corn snacks to their line of products. The company has 150 employees and distributes snacks in most of the US and overseas.
