Saturday night at a red carpet ceremony in Boston, Briarcrest Christian School’s vocal performers, OneVoice, won three contemporary a cappella recording awards (CARAs). The awards were for Best High School Album (“Higher Love”), Best High School Song (“Make it Holy”), and Best High School Solo (Hannah Gray). This is an unprecedented third straight year OneVoice has won the best album and best solo awards. They are the first group at any level to achieve this. Additionally, OneVoice was runner up for Best Pop/Rock album, a category won last year by Pentatonix. Since 2013, OneVoice has received more CARA nominations and wins than any vocal group in the world. Briarcrest Christian School is located at 76 S. Houston Levee Road, Eads. Courtesy photo.
