Bound for state

AHS victory over White Station on March 6
The TSSAA Class AAA Sub-State Finals left Arlington High School celebrating an emotional win at home against the favored White Station Spartans on March 6. The 70-65 victory sent the Tigers (28-4) to the state tournament for the first time in program history. Arlington sophomore Nathan Hoover paced the Tigers with 17 points in the game, which was delayed several days due to inclement weather. Arlington was scheduled to play the 31-1 Siegel High School Stars in Murfreesboro Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the Div. 1 Class AAA state tournament. Game results were unknown at press time. ABOVE: Arlington’s Dejun Canady is thrilled with the win and can’t hold back his emotions.
