Organizers are gearing up for the Oct. 27 Run with the Bruins at Bon Lin Elementary School in Bartlett. The inaugural race in 2017 raised more than $10,000 for the Bartlett School and drew more than 500 registered participants.
The fundraising goals for this year include more technology upgrades, such as smart touch TVs for classroom use and 3D printer supplies.
Sponsorship opportunities include Bronze, $200; Silver, $400; Gold, $600; and Corporate, $1,000. There are escalating rewards at each level, and all sponsors will be mentioned on the official race page on Facebook (search for “Bon Lin Elementary 2nd Annual Run with the Bruins”) and at racesonline.com/events/run-with-the-bruins.
The start time for this year’s race will be 9 a.m., followed by the 7th annual school carnival from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This community-wide event will include booths from local vendors & businesses, carnival games, entertainment from school groups, a silent auction for gift baskets, and concessions.
