Two Bartlett cheer teams brought home high honors from the Feb. 6-7 National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC).
Bartlett High School’s cheerleaders took fourth place in world competition in the small group non-tumbling category. Elmore Park Middle School’s cheerleaders took fourth place in nationals and fifth place in world competition in the junior non-tumbling category.
The event was at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., and it is the most prestigious cheerleading championship in the country. It is nationally televised to more than 100 million homes and 32 countries each year.
