Bartlett police are searching for an armed robber who hit Captain D’s Monday night.
Officers responded to the restaurant at 7112 U.S. 64 around 7:30 p.m. Manager Ronald Abston said a white male had just robbed the business and fled on foot northbound on Christoval. Officers checked the area but didn’t find the suspect.
Surveillance footage showed the suspect ordering something, and when he accepted his food he raised his shirt and displayed a black pistol tucked into his waistband. He demanded all the money in the register.
Employee Demetria Brown was working at the drive-thru’s cash register and saw the threatening gesture. The manager told her to give the suspect the money, and the suspect came around the counter and took about $160 from the register. The man then fled through the east side door.
The suspect wore jeans and a dark hoodie bearing a large “Punisher” comic book skull.
Another witness, Jose Sierra, said he spotted a man matching the description walking toward the restaurant before the robbery. Then he saw the suspect returning about 10 minutes later with a bag in his hands.
Bartlett police took 27 photos, four print cards and one Captain D’s bag into evidence.
