The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of the Mid-South, which serves 28 counties in west Tennessee, north Mississippi, and east Arkansas, saw increases in the services provided in 2015.
BBB delivered 1.2 million reports on local companies to inquirers. Most inquiries were for:
- New and used car dealerships
- Home builders and general contractors
- Heating and air conditioning companies
- Roofers
- Property management companies
Consumers filed 7,852 complaints. The five business types with the most complaints were:
- Property management companies
- New and used car dealerships
- Auto repair services
- Furniture retailers
- Heating and air conditioning companies
The BBB also posted 1,180 customer reviews on businesses, educated customers on purchases and scams, and spoke to 21 civic and community groups. See more at bbbmidsouth.org.
