Battle of Tigers

It was a battle of the Tigers as Whitehaven traveled to Arlington Friday night for what had game-of-the-week implications. Arlington came out energetic and looking strong, fueled by the energy of the “Blue Crew” students in the stands. However, Whitehaven took an early lead in the first quarter and never slowed down. The defensive line for Whitehaven was virtually unstoppable, and the offense consisted primarily of ground plays to senior running back Kylan Watkins. Arlington repeatedly tried to move the ball through the air and on the ground but could never get the momentum needed to pull ahead, with most drives ending after fewer than 20 yards. Whitehaven eventually emerged victorious, 47-17. Arlington will host 0-3 Sheffield this Friday at 7 p.m. Sophomore running back Kenneth Walker follows his offensive linemen down field.
