Kenzie Fields, the most decorated volleyball player ever to walk the halls of Bartlett High School, recently signed a Letter of Intent to attend Arkansas State University next year.
Fields was a varsity starter all four years of high school, district player of the year from 2011-2014 and nominated for Tennessee’s Gatorade Player of the Year award in 2013 and 2014. She set the record for the most kills in a season at Bartlett her sophomore year, then broke her own record during her junior and senior years.
She had 704 kills this season, the most in the state and 10th nationally. Her jersey number (7) will be retired at Bartlett High School.
“I tell people all the time,” said Head Volleyball Coach Sherrie Walker, “that in four years I can’t claim any responsibility for making Kenzie the player she is. The game is natural to her. She came to me as a freshman with a complete understanding of the game.”
