Bartlett reminds homeowners of loose leaf collection guidelines

PrintTidy homeowners in Bartlett are reminded that the city is still in the middle of its “Loose Leaf Season.” Bartlett has guidelines in place to make the process as streamlined as possible.

Those who want their leaves collected are advised to put them a dome-shaped pile within 10 feet of the roadway so the city’s collection equipment can reach it. Debris should never be placed on the roadway.

Loose leaf collection times will not likely coincide with weekly garbage collection. Residents who require timely leaf collections are asked to place them in their yard waste cart or beside their cart in a bag. They should avoid placing leaves next to their mail box, fire hydrants, light poles and drainage structures, as well as in ditches.
