Bartlett Police reports for May 8, 2014

The Bartlett Police Department reported the following activities for April 28-May 3, 2014:

Highway 64: Responded around 9:41 a.m. to 7850 Highway 64 (Serra Chevrolet) regarding an auto burglary. The complainant said someone stole four rims and tires (valued at $4,500) from a Chevy Camaro RS. A sales representative at the dealership discovered the theft around 9 a.m. that day.

Ellis Road: Responded around 4:55 a.m. on April 29 to Ellis Road, regarding an attempted theft of lawn equipment. The complainant said his wife heard the trailer’s padlock being cut around 4:50 a.m., and the complainant went outside. He noticed the destroyed lock but saw that all lawn equipment was still on the trailer. The suspect ran south toward the Richland Lake area. He was a thin male of unknown race, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and he was dressed in dark clothing.
Adina Cove: Responded around 7:36 a.m. on April 29 to Adina Cove regarding an auto burglary. The victim said someone broke into her unlocked Toyota sometime between 6 p.m. April 28 and 6 a.m. April 29.
Stage Road: Responded around 9:57 p.m. on April 29 to Baskin Robbins at 5788 Stage Road regarding an armed robber. The victim said an unknown black male entered the store with his face covered and his hand under his shirt, indicating he had a gun. He forced her to the register, told her to open it and put the money in the bag, and fled toward Main Street. The suspect was approximately 6 feet, 1 inch tall, wearing all dark clothes.

Raner Creek Road: Responded around 10:25 a.m. on April 30 to Raner Creek Road regarding a theft. The complainant said someone stole the license plate from her Toyota 4 Runner that was sitting in her driveway sometime between 6 p.m. on April 27 and 9 a.m. on April 30.

Persimmon View: Responded around 8:13 a.m. May 1 to Persimmon View regarding an auto burglary. The victim said someone broke into her vehicle between 9 p.m. on April 30 and 6:30 a.m. May 1. A Target bag containing assorted clothing (valued at $150) was stolen from the front seat.
Doefield Trail: Responded around 6:24 p.m. on May 1 to Doefield Trail regarding a burglary. The victim said his back door was kicked in when he returned home from a business trip around 5:45 p.m. to the residence, which he shares with his girlfriend. The officer observed that the master bedroom appeared to be ransacked, with several items from dresser drawers strewn on the floor.

Pembroke Ellis: Responded at 8:50 a.m. on May 2 to Pembroke Ellis regarding a theft from a motor vehicle. The victim said someone entered his unlocked Chevy pickup truck that was parked in his driveway sometime between 4:30 p.m. May 1 and 7 a.m. May 2. Items stolen included a Garmin GPS, a garage door opener and $10 in quarters.
Patricia Ellen: After responding to the Pembroke Ellis incident, the officer responded next on May 2 to the 3300 block of Patricia Ellen regarding a theft from a motor vehicle. The victim said that overnight someone had entered her unlocked Xterra and stole a Walmart gift card and $5 in change. The suspect also tried to remove the car stereo from the dash, causing minor damage.

Planters View: Responded at 4:50 p.m. May 3 to Planters View regarding a theft complaint. The victim said someone entered his garage’s unlocked side door between 10 a.m. April 25 and 9 a.m. May 3 and stole four of his Taylor Made golf clubs (valued at $350, $250, $200 and $200). Someone also entered the unlocked 2011 Buick belonging to the victim’s wife sometime between 5 p.m. May 2 and 10:30 a.m. on May 3. Items stolen included two bottles of vitamins (valued at $10), and papers were scattered around in the car. The Buick had no signs of forcible entry.
