The Bartlett Police Department reported the following incidents for June 9-15, 2014.
June 10
- Olivia Hill Drive: Responded around 6:43 p.m. on June 10 to Olivia Hill Drive regarding a vandalism complaint. The victim said the air conditioning had stopped working in his residence. When he went outside, he saw that the cover on his outdoor air conditioning unit had been pried apart and the wires had been cut on the inside. When he exited his residence, witness told him he saw a male black running from the side of his home about the time of the incident.
- Ackerman Cove: Responded around 8:21 p.m. on June 10 to Ackerman Cove regarding a theft complaint. The victim said she noticed her prescription medicine was missing from her home when she returned home that day. Three people were in the residence while she was at work.
June 12
- Boyd Lane: Responded at 5:20 p.m. on June 12 to Boyd Lane regarding a residential burglary complaint. The victim said he noticed damage to the window screens on his front porch. The screens were pulled away from the window, and it appears someone tried to make entry into his home. He said the screens were undamaged when he left that morning at approximately 8 a.m. He arrived home around 5 p.m. No entry was made into the residence.
- Boyd Lane: The office made contact with another victim at Boyd Lane, who reported that her screens were also damaged in the same manner, and there was no entry made into the residence. Both victims stated there have been several suspicious activities in the area since schools have been let out, and they reported it to the property manager.
- Carat Circle: Responded around 2:48 p.m. on June 12 to Caret Circle regarding a theft complaint. The victim said he had four unknown Comcast workers in his residence about two weeks ago, working on his cable. Then on June 10 he noticed several items were missing from his property. A shovel ($50) was missing from his back yard where they were working. Inside the residence, he noticed that his iPod Nano ($150) was missing from his computer desk. Also, a green box containing a Pin Kit ($500), Lock picking set ($60) and miscellaneous lock picking tools (valued at $100) was missing. The green box with all the tools was last seen on the floor next to the computer desk.
- Appling Road: Responded around 6:26 p.m. on June 12 to the 3700 block of Appling Road regarding a report of lost property. The victim said she had lost her bag containing her Kenyan passport in her house on Overcreek Lane. The victim contacted the Kenyan embassy, and they told her she needed to document the lost passport in order to get a new one issued.
June 13
- Yale: Responded at 11:15 a.m. on June 13 to Yale regarding a residential burglary complaint. The victim said he left his residence around 7:30 a.m. and found his home burglarized when he returned around 11 a.m. Someone had kicked in the carport door ($150 in damages) and had gone through the home’s drawers and closets. The suspect stole a black Samsung 32″ TV ($200), a pink Coach purse ($300), a brown Coach purse ($300), 15 miscellaneous purses ($900) and an AT&T Uverse cable box ($70). Detectives made the scene and processed it.
- Stage Road: Responded around 11:25 p.m. on June 13 to Kroger at 5995 Stage Road regarding an auto burglary complaint. The victim said he parked his truck in the parking lot around 10:55 p.m. When he returned around 11:06 p.m. he saw that the passenger front door lock was damaged and broken. Several items, including a handgun, were stolen from the vehicle.
June 14
- Highway 64: Responded around 3:43 p.m. June 14 to the 7900 block of Highway 64 (Pizza Hut Call Center) regarding a vandalism complaint. The complainant said someone had flattened the rear driver’s side tire on his Cavalier in the parking lot while he was working.
June 15
- Germantown: Responded around 7:38 a.m. on June 15 to 3060 Germantown (Infiniti of Memphis) regarding the theft of rims and tires from two vehicles during the night. The investigating officer reviewed the security camera footage via his laptop and observed two male blacks driving onto the lot in a Toyota sedan. The suspects ran into a ditch to grab rocks to place under the vehicles after removing the rims and tires.
