The Bartlett Police Department (BPD) reported the following incidents for Jan. 5-11, 2014.

Jan. 5
U.S. 64 (theft)
Responded to the Suburban Lodge (7380 U.S. 64) on Jan. 5 regarding another theft of a room’s TV. The manager said someone stole the 32-inch LG LED television between 1:30 p.m. Jan. 4 and 10:30 a.m. that day. The suspect pried the door open, causing about $250 in damages. There have been multiple thefts of televisions from this business, starting in the month of December.
Jan. 6
Pine Oak (auto burglary)
Responded on Jan. 6 to Pine Oak regarding an auto burglary. The complainant said someone took her FedEx purse from her vehicle between 4:30 p.m. Jan. 3 and 6 a.m. Jan. 6. Three fraudulent charges had already been added to her credit card at the time of the report.
Jan. 7
Appling Road (theft)
Responded to the 3700 block of Appling Road on Jan. 7 regarding a theft complaint in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market. The victim was doing electrical work for the business and around 6 a.m. left his firearm in the rear of his company box truck, under a jacket.
When he returned at noon, he noticed that items had been disturbed and his firearm was missing.
Jan. 8
Unspecified location (theft)
Met a victim at BPD headquarters to take a theft complaint around 6:20 p.m. Jan. 8. The victim said someone took a Simoniz gift book ($110.50) from her vehicle between Dec. 16 and Jan. 1.
Jan. 10
Oak Forest (vandalism)
Responded to Oak Forest at 3:32 p.m. on Jan. 10 regarding a vandalism complaint. The victim said when he went to his Ford pickup that morning around 9:15 a.m., he found that someone had thrown what looked like chili on the vehicle.
