The Bartlett Police Department reported the following activities for the period of Dec. 13-20:
Firebird’s parking lot: Responded on Jan. 14 to report of auto burglary at the Firebird’s Restaurant on Highway 64. The complainant said someone broke into the driver’s door of her 2013 truck in the parking lot between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. while she was eating at the restaurant. The door lock was punched, and the door was dented around the lock and handle. Items reported stolen included a purple canvas bag of clothes and shoes valued at an estimated $325. The vehicle damage was estimated at $1,200.
Quail Ridge Apartments parking lot: Responded on Jan. 14 to a vandalism complaint at 3730 Appling Road. The complainant, who lives on Don Leigh Drive, said that sometime between 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 13 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 14 someone shattered the back glass of her car at the Quail Ridge Apartments parking lot. The officer estimated that a pellet-style weapon could have done the damage. The damage is estimated at $150.
Bartlett High School parking lot: Responded at 4:04 p.m. Jan. 14 to Bartlett High School at 5688 Woodlawn to a reported auto burglary. The complainant said that sometime between 2 p.m. and 3:55 p.m. on Jan. 14 someone broke into his car in the student parking lot. The vehicle’s front passenger window ($200) had been broken, but none of the complainant’s property was missing. Another victim said his black and silver Polo belt ($80) and his black iPhone 5s ($400) were stolen from the front passenger seat. A third victim said his red and green Gucci belt ($300) and his brown and green Gucci bag ($1,000) stolen out the back seat.
Memphis-Arlington Road: Responded to a report of a residential aggravated burglary in progress at 6:01 p.m. on Jan. 14 at Memphis-Arlington. The homeowner said she heard someone in the house while she was inside. She reported arriving home around 5:15 p.m. and entering through her rear kitchen door, which she then locked. She was standing in the kitchen when she heard a noise coming from the rear of the house. She saw broken glass on the floor in front of the rear living room door, became frightened, and left the house, locking the door behind her. The only items that appeared to be missing were several pieces of jewelry from the master bedroom.
Richland: Responded on Jan. 15 to a reported theft at Richland. The victim said she hired someone to help her move to her residence and gave him the garage door code. The move was completed by the morning of Jan. 14, and everything was moved into her garage at the new residence. The victim said she made sure there was nothing left in the suspect’s vehicle after he helped her move. Then she realized items were missing around 1 p.m. on Jan. 15 when she could not locate her TV and various other items. The victim said she went to the suspect’s address in Memphis and retrieved several items that had been taken.
Abelia Hill Cove: Responded on Jan. 16 to a report of a stolen vehicle registration decal at Abelia Hill Cove. The complainant said he started getting notices of unpaid parking tickets in the University of Memphis area and then discovered the decal on a 2000 Chevy Venture parked in front of his home was missing. He said he believes it was taken a couple of years ago while the vehicle was parked on the street.
Skylight Drive: Responded on Jan. 16 to burglary report. The victim said he believed his ex-girlfriend entered the house and took a television and some checks. While he was doing banking tasks for his personal business, he noticed two separate withdrawals for $1,000.
Firebird’s Grill: Responded at 10:11 p.m. on Jan. 16 to reported auto burglary at Firebird’s Grill, 8470 Highway 64. The victim said his black 12-gauge Benelli shotgun and his Silverton guitar were stolen from his truck. Locks on the driver’s door and passenger doors were broken.
Tylertown Avenue: Responded at 9:01 a.m. on Jan. 17 to a reported theft from a motor vehicle on Tylertown Ave. The victim said someone entered his vehicle through an unlocked door and took the radio from the dashboard ($150), a subwoofer from behind the front seats ($100) and an amplifier from behind the front seats ($100).
Crowell Street: Responded at 5:32 p.m. on Jan. 17 to reported burglary on Crowell Street. The victim said someone broke into her home and stole two televisions (including a 35-inch Panasonic) and a ninja turtle piggybank. There were no signs of forced entry to the home.
