The Bartlett Police Department (BPD) reported the following incidents for Jan. 12-18, 2015.

Jan. 14
Kirby Whitten (burglary in progress)
Responded around 12:45 a.m. Jan. 14 to the Verizon building (3000 Kirby Whitten) regarding a reported burglary in progress. A witness called in the burglary when he saw a person break the front door and go in.
The store manager estimated that about $10,000 worth of items were taken, but that the amount could be more after he completed his inventory check. A cash drawer inside contained about $200 in cash.
Goforth (aggravated burglary)
Responded around 2:09 p.m. Jan. 14 to Goforth regarding an aggravated burglary. Someone had kicked in the garage’s side door ($500 in damages), kicked in a locked bedroom door ($500), rifled through bedroom drawers and stole a two TVs and a cell phone.
Altruria (residential burglary)
Responded at 5:08 p.m. on Jan. 14 to Altruria regarding a residential burglary.
The victim said someone stole his Husky 20 gallon air compressor ($300) from his garage. He arrived home around 3:30 p.m. and left the garage door open, and his wife arrived around 4:45 p.m. and noticed the compressor was gone. The compressor was black with a green hose.
Jan. 15
Stage Road (theft)
Responded at 9 p.m. Jan. 15 to the 6700 block of State Road regarding a stolen license plate.
The victim said she parked her 2013 Hyundai Sonato in the parking lot around 5 p.m. and discovered that her vehicle’s license plate was missing when she returned around 8:45 p.m.
Jan. 16
U.S. 64 (vehicle burglary)
Responded to the tire and auto parking lot on the west side of Sam’s Club (8480 U.S. 64) regarding a vehicle burglary complaint.
The victim said he parked his Dodge Ram truck in the lot around 1 p.m. and returned around 5:45 p.m., when he discovered the burglary.
Items stolen from the truck’s cabin included his wallet and miscellaneous personal items.
He said the doors were locked, but there was no visible damage or signs of forced entry to his vehicle.
Jan. 17
Hillman Way (stolen trailer)
Responded around 11:39 p.m. Jan. 17 to Hillman Way regarding a stolen trailer. The victim said someone took his trailer from his open side yard between midnight Jan. 7 and 9 a.m. Jan. 17.
The trailer is black with a 16-foot tandem axle, wooden floor, square tubing with two notches toward the front on both sides, and about four inches of metal mesh in the floor at the rear. There was no lock on the the trailer.
