Shadowlawn Road (counterfeiting)

A complainant at the Bartlett 9th Grade Academy (4734 Shadowlawn Road) reported on Sept. 11 that she received a counterfeit $20 bill from a parent that day as part of a payment for a student’s laptop insurance.

She further stated that when she contacted him about the counterfeit bill and the payment, the parent said he didn’t know the bill was counterfeit and he received it from Bank of America. He did agree to pay the school the remainder of what he owed for the insurance policy.
