The Bartlett Police Department (BPD) handled the following incidents from Sept. 21 through 27.
These are the most notable cases of the week and do not necessarily represent all BPD activities for the time period.

Sept. 22
Bartlett Woods Drive (auto burglary)
A woman reported that she found her vehicle door standing open around 5:15 a.m. Sept. 21. She said she closed it when she last exited the vehicle around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 20.
The vehicle was left unlocked in her driveway that night.
She did not believe anything was stolen, but it appeared as though the vehicle had been ransacked.
Baudette Cove (auto theft)
A woman reported on Sept. 21 that her SUV was stolen from her driveway overnight.
She parked her 2011 white Mercury Mariner around 9 p.m. Sept. 20, and it was gone by 7 a.m. the next morning.
The responding officer saw no evidence of forced entry or broken glass, and the victim could not provide any further information.
Elmore Road (auto burglary)
A woman reported on Sept. 21 that someone had entered her car while it was parked in her carport and stole an estimated $20-$30 in loose change.
The vehicle, a gold 2002 Ford Taurus was parked around 4 p.m. Sept. 20, and she found the front passenger door open around 7 a.m. Sept. 21.
She also noticed three unknown black juveniles walking westbound on her street before 7 a.m.
The money was in a cup in the car’s center console, and she found the cup at the end of her driveway.
Summerhill Drive (residential burglary)
On Sept. 21, a man reported that someone stole multiple items while he was renovating the home.
He noticed the rear door was open around 5 p.m. Sept. 21, and pictures of his child were stacked on the living room floor. He left to purchase a few door locks.
When he returned around 5:40 p.m., the following items were missing: Pictures ($30), rug ($300), mirror ($100), curtain ($50) and two TVs ($700).
Sept. 22
Teaberry Lane (residential burglary)
A woman reported on Sept. 21 that someone had stolen more than $2,800 of her belongings.
She got home from work around 8:30 a.m. that day and noticed the following items were missing: PlayStation 4 along with the wires and controllers ($429), ASUS laptop X553M ($300), white Samsung Galaxy Core Prime phone ($130), Sony Bravia 40-inch flat-screen TV ($500), Sony Bravia 32-inch flat-screen TV ($400), about 20 Play-Station 4 video games (total $800) and a couple of dresses and approximately 20 pairs of shoes ($300).
The estimated total loss was $2,859.
Sept. 23
Ellen Davies Drive (burglary)
A man reported that someone burglarized his home the morning of Sept. 23.
He left the house around 8 a.m. on Sept. 23 and returned shortly after noon to find his home’s back door had been kicked in or pried open. Items stolen included two Keltech .380-caliber semiautomatic pistols, two extra magazines and a tray of jewelry.
Sept. 24
U.S. 70 (theft of trailer)
A man reported on Sept. 24 that someone had stolen a trailer ($1,200) from a spot close to his business, Big League Apparel (7715 U.S. 70, Suite 112).
The trailer was parked in the lot near Stewart Brothers and chained to a guard rail. The owner noticed it was missing at 11 a.m. but initially thought that his father must have borrowed it.
He last saw the trailer around 10 a.m. Sept. 19. The trailer is a 5-by-14-foot single-axle black trailer with a wood floor, LED lights and a 2-inch ball hitch, and it was equipped with two ramps.
Angelin Road (theft)
A man reported on Sept. 24 that multiple lawn care items had been stolen from his open garage.
He said the theft must have occurred sometime between noon Sept. 23 and 1 p.m. Sept. 24.
Items stolen included a red Troy-Bilt push lawnmower ($400) with an attached black bag, blue Kobalt weed trimmer ($100) and orange Husqvarna gas blower ($200).
St. Elmo Road (theft from motor vehicle)
A woman reported on Sept. 24 that someone stole $8,000 from her car while it was briefly parked in the Walgreens lot at 6565 St. Elmo St.
She parked there around 7:45 p.m. and was in the store for about five minutes. When she returned, the green accordion-style file box of cash and paperwork that she had placed on the passenger front seat was gone.
She said that she believed she secured the vehicle prior to entering the store.
The responding officer did not observe any signs of forced entry into her vehicle.
Sept. 26
Beagle Trail (burglary)
Someone broke into a vacant home on Beagle Trail and stole an appliance, a complainant reported on Sept. 26.
The rear door of the house appeared to be kicked in, and the only missing property appeared to be a stove of unknown make or color.
