The Bartlett Police Department handled the following incidents for the period of Oct. 2-8. This listing includes the most notable incidents for the reporting period and does not necessarily reflect all police activity.

Oct. 2
Summer Knoll Cove (burglary)
An employee discovered around 10 a.m. Oct. 2 that someone had broken into a business on Summer Knoll Cove. Glass in a side door was shattered. Someone had rifled through three or four FedEx boxes stacked in the corner.
Newstone Drive (theft from motor vehicle)
A man met a BPD officer in the jail lobby to report that someone stole tools from his truck toolbox overnight. The toolbox was unlocked because of previous damage, and someone took several saws and nail guns.
The theft was between 7 p.m. Oct. 1 and 8:45 a.m. Oct. 2. He was parked on the lot of the Quail Ridge Apartments at the time.
Oct. 3
U.S. 64 (shoplifting)
A Circle K employee reported the shoplifting of several small items from the store (8140 U.S. 64) around 8 a.m.
Oct. 4
Oak Lane Cove North (auto burglary)
A man said someone pried open the driver’s side door of his truck, stole a pocket knife and GPS and then used the prying object to scratch and dent the truck’s passenger side door and rear quarter panel.
Stage Road (shoplifting)
A store employee at 5208 Stage Road reported someone’s shoplifting of several items.
Frost Hill Cove (theft)
A woman who received notice about a FedEx package delivery reported that it was missing from her front porch when she checked.
Unspecified address (identity theft)
A man reported that someone was trying to use his personal information to open an American Express account on Sept. 4 and an Amazon account on Sept. 16.
Oct. 5
Memphis Arlington Road (vandalism)
A representative of Fantastic Sam’s (6490 Memphis Arlington Road, Suite #102) said Walmart security alerted her to the fact her business’s front door was broken.
She found a large hole in the front door and a hole inside the building on the east wall. Almost every drawer at the work stations and the desk drawers in the office were ajar. Someone stole cash and other items.
Shadow Wick Lane (lost property)
A man reported that his vehicle’s registration tag was missing when he arrived home the previous afternoon.
Stage Hills Road (theft)
A man said he left Southern Fastening (8024 Stage Hills Road) and realized his vehicle’s license plate was missing when he headed home.
Drew Valley Drive (theft)
Someone stole the 2018 registration sticker off the license plate of a woman’s vehicle.
Oct. 6
Unspecified address (fraud)
A woman said someone fraudulently used her Regions debit card on Sept. 28. Regions stopped the order for all but one of the transactions.
