The Bartlett Police Department handled these and other incidents for the period of March 12-18.

Incidents are listed in order of the dates they were reported.
March 12
West Monica Drive (auto burglary)
Someone rummaged through a man’s three unlocked vehicles overnight, scattering the glove compartment’s contents in each. Nothing was taken.
South Lake Oaks Drive (auto burglary)
Someone stole a man’s Idea golf bag and clubs from the bed of his pickup truck overnight. The owner found the tailgate open and the bag gone. The truck has a bed cover, but the tailgate doesn’t lock.
Bartlett Oaks (auto burglary)
A woman reported that someone stole two checkbooks from her truck overnight. She said her husband had moved the truck, and he forgot to lock it.
Three Doves Cove (automobile burglary)
Someone stole three prescription pill bottles from a man’s unlocked pickup overnight.
Cohay Drive (theft from motor vehicle)
Someone stole a black hatchet in a black sheath from a man’s unlocked vehicle overnight. The sheath had zip ties holding it together.
March 13
U.S. 64 (auto burglary)
A would-be thief damaged a man’s pickup truck overnight, breaking the door handle and the center console, but taking nothing.
Oliver Grove Lane (theft of mail)
A man found a UPS package on his front porch around 5:30 p.m., but the package was opened and the contents missing. UPS told him the package was delivered intact at 11:28 a.m.
Unspecified location (theft)
A woman noticed on March 13 that several ID documents were missing from her wallet. She last saw all the items in her wallet around 8 a.m. March 10. She is unsure exactly when and where the items were taken because she went several places around Bartlett, Cordova and Memphis.
March 14
Hedgemore Cove (suspicious circumstance)
A victim spotted a dark gray GMC SUV parked on the street in front of his home and then saw a man removing mail from the victim’s mailbox. He called out to the suspect, asking what he was doing, and the suspect replied that he was delivering the vehicle and had the wrong address. The suspect put the mail in the box, got in the SUV and left. The SUV had “For Sale” lettered in white on the windows.
Stage Road (vandalism)
A woman said someone shattered her vehicle’s back window while it was parked at National College (5760 Stage Road).
Wolf Lake Drive (auto burglary)
Someone stole items from a man’s unlocked vehicle while he was parked at work. A security camera caught the theft, which happened at 4:48 p.m.
U.S. 64 (theft from motor vehicle)
A man reported that someone broke into his vehicle while it was parked briefly at Firebirds (8470 U.S. 64) around 5 p.m. on March 13. There were no signs of forced entry and the victim was unsure how the suspect gained entry.
U.S. 64 (theft)
Someone entered the lot at Sunrise of Wolfchase (8500 U.S. 64) and stole the front bumper off a man’s vehicle overnight.
March 15
North Germantown Parkway (auto burglary)
Someone damaged and burglarized a man’s truck while it was parked at Wolfchase Honda (2982 N. Germantown Parkway). The suspect broke the driver’s side window, door and lock to enter and stole a tool box, miscellaneous hand tools, and a Snap-On power drill.
A second victim reported that someone also broke his driver’s side door lock, entered the vehicle and stole an iPhone 7 and a pistol. The suspects also entered the trunk through the back seat.
The third victim said someone broke his vehicle’s driver’s side door handle but didn’t steal anything.
The fourth and fifth victims said someone broke their vehicles’ driver’s side door locks but didn’t take anything.
Bruton Parish (theft from motor vehicle)
Someone entered a woman’s unlocked vehicle overnight and stole her daughter’s wallet from the front middle seat.
Kate Bond Road (theft from motor vehicle)
A woman employed at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett worked a 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. shift and emerged to find her car damaged and burglarized. Someone had punched a lock to enter the car and stole the car radio from the dash and a GPS unit.
March 16
Unspecified location (theft from motor vehicle)
A woman reported that she noticed the previous day that her license plate was missing from her vehicle. She didn’t know when or where it went missing.
March 17
Kate Bond Road (auto burglary)
Someone broke into a man’s pickup in the parking lot of Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett (2986 Kate Bond Road) by punching the driver’s side door lock, causing about $1,500 in damages. The man said he had already driven off the lot before he noticed his anti-theft notification was activated. Nothing was missing from the vehicle.
March 18
Briar Trail Cove (armed party)
A man reported that an unknown male had entered his home and taken a pellet gun from the back porch. The door to the glassed-in porch had to be pried open for entry. The suspect entered the back yard through a closed gate before entering the porch. The victim said he last saw the suspect walking out of the neighborhood, inspecting the gun.
