Bartlett Police Department reported the following activities for the period of Feb. 27 – March 7:
Carat Circle: Responded at 4:36 p.m. on Feb. 27 to report of vandalism at Carat Circle. Complainant said she left her home around noon and returned around 2 p.m. to find that someone had shot an arrow into the aluminum door of a breezeway between her garage and house. The shaft of the arrow had been removed. Her husband dug the arrow out of the door after he came home.
Bartlett Hills Baptist Church: Responded on Feb. 28 to a reported auto burglary at Bartlett Hills Baptist Church, 4641 Ellendale. The victim said someone broke into her GMC and stole her purse. The officer saw pry marks and a broken driver’s side window. The purse contained a First Tennessee Bank checkbook, First Tennessee debit card, Visa and Mastercard credit cards, $40 in cash, keys to the vehicle, various gift cards, a Coach wallet and her Tennessee driver’s license. The victim said the suspect was a male who got into an olive green/gray Ford van and left in an unknown direction.
West Monica: Responded at 11:44 a.m. on March 1 to a reported theft from a building at West Monica. The victim said his renter for the past four years took the home’s appliances without permission when he moved out. Items taken included a Whirlpool washer and dryer and side-by-side refrigerator/freezer; estimated value was $2,050.
Hickory Grove: Responded at 2:04 a.m. on March 2 to a report of a prowler on Hickory Grove Lane. A citizen was detaining a white male. The citizen said he came outside to see why his dogs were barking and saw the suspect emerging from the driver’s side of his wife’s vehicle. A police search of the suspect revealed that he had a loaded Glock 27 pistol, two mobile GPS units, one iPod, one mini Maglite brand flashlight with a case, and a Regions Bank checkcard belonging to another victim. The defendant was advised of his Miranda rights, and he said that all of the property was taken from the citizen’s truck and multiple vehicles in the surrounding neighborhoods.
Richland Valley Lane: Responded at 7:54 a.m. on March 5 to a reported theft from a truck at Richland Valley Lane. The victim said someone broke into his vehicle overnight, between 7:15 p.m. on March 4 and approximately 7:27 a.m. on March 5. The officer saw no signs of forced entry. The owner found the center armrest in his truck opened and the following items taken: his house key ($5), iPhone charger ($20), Black Adidas drawstring book bag ($40), four SD memory cards ($50), and 4 ($50) Visa gift cards. The total value of items taken was $315.
Saint Francis Hospital: Responded at 5:58 p.m. on March 6 to a reported theft at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett, 2986 Kate Bond Road. The victim said her sister was in the hospital for a procedure, and the victim noticed her wallet ($10) was missing from the hospital room when her sister was discharged at 5:15 p.m. Items in the wallet included a Social Security card, a red Bank of America debit card, her birth certificate, and her permit. The responding officer spoke with hospital personnel, who said that only cleaning staff and nurses were allowed in the room and that no one had seen or found a wallet. They said they would report it to police dispatch if a wallet turned up.
Keats: Responded at 7:47 a.m. on March 7 to reported vandalism at Keats. The victim said someone slashed three tires on her vehicle parked in front of the home.
