The Bartlett Police Department handled these and other incidents for the period of Feb. 12-18, 2018.

Incidents are listed in order of the dates they were reported.
Feb. 12
Stonetrace Drive (theft)
A man reported that someone stole his 2- to 3-foot-tall hand-carved wood alligator statue from his back yard. He recalled seeing some neighborhood kids that jumped his back fence around the time it went missing.
Feb. 13
Needle Ridge (theft)
A property manager said one or more unauthorized people removed a 26-foot above-ground pool from the back yard of a property he manages. The property is currently unoccupied.
Germantown Road (auto burglary)
A victim reported at the Nissan dealership on Germantown Road that someone had broken out the driver’s side door window of a vehicle. Video footage also showed that a suspect broke another vehicle’s door lock, pulled the dash out and stole a Pioneer navigation system. The suspect also tried to enter two other vehicles and damaged their doors and windows.
Stage Road (theft)
A woman reported that someone stole her company cell phone, an iPhone 6 Plus, out of her basket while she was shopping at Bargain Hunt (6208 Stage Road) the previous afternoon around 5 p.m.
Kate Bond Road (auto burglary)
A man found the driver’s door lock punched out on his vehicle when he returned to it in the parking lot of Saint Francis Hospital – Bartlett (2986 Kate Bond Road). He arrived at 10:25 a.m. and returned an hour later. The contents of his duffel bag were scattered in the back seat, but nothing was stolen.
Kate Bond Road (attempted theft from motor vehicle)
Another man reported before 1:30 p.m. that someone pried at the driver’s side lock on his Ford F-250 pickup and destroyed it while he was parked at Saint Francis Hospital – Bartlett. The vehicle was ransacked but nothing was taken.
Kate Bond Road (attempted theft from motor vehicle)
Another man parked at Saint Francis Hospital – Bartlett reported that someone broke into his 2004 Chevy Suburban between 9 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. The suspect pried at his door lock and destroyed it, but nothing was stolen.
Feb. 16
Satellite Road (auto burglary)
A man said someone stole 15 packs of Winston cigarettes and his work coat from his Toyota Highlander while it was parked in his carport. It happened between 6 p.m. Feb. 15 and about 9:30 a.m. the next morning.
Stage Road (theft from building)
The assistant manager at Dollar Tree (6085 Stage Road) said she believes someone took her wallet from her purse on Feb. 15 between noon and 5:30 p.m. while the purse was in the manager’s office.
Vigil Road (vandalism)
A man said he was sitting in his living room and heard a loud noise outside his back door, so he called the police around 10:10 p.m. Officers didn’t see a suspect but found a pry mark on the rear iron door. The victim said he didn’t think the damage was old.
Feb. 17
U.S. 70 (alarm)
Officers responded to an alarm at the Z Market (7867 U.S. 70) at 3:38 a.m. and found the front door shattered. No one was inside, but they saw that three cash register drawers were gone, alone with several cartons of Newport cigarettes.
Officers also received an alarm at the Exxon (7804 U.S. 70), where they found a shoe print on the door. The security video showed suspects trying to gain entry but failing. There was no damage at the Exxon.
Feb. 18
Bartlett Crest Drive (motor vehicle theft)
A woman reported that someone had stolen her vehicle overnight, between 7 p.m. Feb. 17 and the next morning.
Stage Road (theft)
Two unknown females entered Palm Beach Tan (6600 Stage Road, Suite 113) and asked to use the restroom. They left after an employee found one of the women in the employees-only room. Afterward, store personnel found that an employee’s wallet was missing.
