
The Bartlett Police Department has reported the following activity:
Home burglary: Occurred between 1:20 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Dec. 3 on Memphis Arlington Road. Resident noticed house’s back door was open when she returned. Reported missing: $160 in cash.
Theft from vehicle Police response at 8:08 p.m. on Dec. 2 on Windersville Drive. A man saw two black males in a gray Dodge four-door sedan drive by slowly, make a U-turn, and stop. One of the men reportedly ran up the driveway to a car, stole a purse within it, and fled in the sedan.
Residential theft: Police response at 5:55 p.m. on Dec. 3 on Darolyn Street. The victim said someone entered his grandmother’s driveway between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and stole his truck’s shell, which was being stored for parts. The total loss is $500.
Business burglary: Police response at 7:40 a.m. on Dec. 5 on Wolf Lake Drive. The front door’s glass was shattered, and various file cabinets, drawers, and doors were open. A hole had been punched in one wall. No suspects were on the premises. Reported missing: 32-inch Vizio flat-screen TV in its original box and a Regions Bank checkbook. The TV was valued at $300.
Business property theft: Reported at 12:13 p.m. on Dec. 5 behind a business on the 7000 block of Saint Elmo Road. Video surveillance footage revealed a truck circling the building and parking behind the store at 5:15 a.m, leaving two minutes’ later. Suspects are two white males in their mid to late 30s. The vehicle was a white single-cab 4X4 GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck, model year 2000-2002, with chrome bed rails and what appeared to be a tan undertone. Reported stolen: Coca-Cola cooler/fridge ($250), table and two patio chairs ($50), and a metal organizing rack ($10).
Thefts from vehicles: Police response at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 at St. Francis Hospital on the 2900 block of Kate Bond Road. The first victim said his truck was burglarized between 6:30 a.m. and 1:10 p.m., when he found the driver’s door lock had been popped, a passenger window broken, and several items missing. The second victim said his passenger door lock had been popped and his hunting rifle stolen, and the responding officer saw damage on the passenger-side door.
Theft from vehicle: Police response at 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 to Sabal Hill Drive. The victim said someone stole several items from his unlocked Honda Accord, parked on the street in front of his home. The theft reportedly occurred between 10 p.m. on Dec. 5 and 10 a.m. Dec. 6.
Business burglary alarm and damage: Police response at 10:27 p.m. on Dec. 7 to business on the 7100 block of Highway 64. The front door glass was broken, and the owner was on the scene when police arrived. The owner said he closed and left the business around 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 7. Nothing was reported missing.
