Bartlett Police reports for Dec. 9-15, 2013

The Bartlett Police Department reported a total of 81 arrests, including misdemeanors and traffic arrests, during Dec. 9-15. All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. (Click photo to enlarge.)

The Bartlett Police Department reported the following activity for the week of Dec. 9-15:

Yale and Bartlett Blvd:  Responded on Dec. 9 to 3730 Appling for a theft complaint. Theft reported from unlocked vehicle at Christ Church, 5955 Yale Road. The owner’s purse was stolen. The suspect(s) charged $45 on the owner’s debit card at a gas station and $184.05 at a grocery store.

Briarwood: Responded on Dec. 9 to vandalism complaint at Woodsman Lane. The homeowner confronted an unknown male white suspect trying to pry off a back window of the home. The suspect, who looked to be about 6 feet tall, weighing 185 pounds, claimed to be checking on a female living there.

Bartlett Village: Responded on Dec. 11 to Halstead regarding a missing truck key. Victim said an unknown person must have entered the house and stolen the key from the kitchen between 3 p.m. Dec. 6 and 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 11, when he heard the truck alarm. The driver’s door was ajar but still locked. No items were missing.

Smokerise:  Responded on Dec. 12 to vandalism complaint at Lawnhill. The victim said a juvenile broke a rear window from the home between 5 p.m. on Dec. 11 and 8 a.m. on Dec. 12.

Burloe: Responded to a theft complaint on Dec. 12 at Wendy Street. The victim reported the theft of Christmas yard decorations: a wooden candy cane, gingerbread man, and elf, each valued at $33.

Bartlett Village: Responded on Dec. 13 to Ainsworth regarding an auto burglary. The victim reported theft of several power tools from unlocked tool boxes on his two trucks.

Bartlett Woodlands: Responded on Dec. 13 to Baird for a theft compliant. The victim said that someone stole her purse from an unlocked car in her open garage sometime between 8 p.m. Dec. 13 and 3:15 a.m. on Dec. 14. The purse contained an unknown amount of cash and miscellaneous personal items. Bank of America said three attempted purchases had been made.

Bartlett Corporate: Responded at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 14 to burglary complaint at Bartlett Corporate Cove East. One window was broken, and the keyholder unlocked the doors for a police search. Several desk drawers were open. The complainant said video surveillance should be available for the ransacked office.

Bartlett High area: Responded on Dec. 15 to Boyd Lane regarding a vandalism complainant occurring between Dec. 14 and 15. The victim said someone cracked the right side mirror on her car, which was covered with a tarp and parked in the rear driveway. She suspected juvenile vandals because the home is near Bartlett High School.
