
Car and home burglaries, a trailer theft and vandalism dominated the weekly crime report in Bartlett. The Bartlett Police Department (BPD) reported the following incidents for Dec. 1-7, 2014.

Dec. 2
Stephen Franklin Drive (theft)
A man reported on Dec. 2 that someone had stolen his .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun from his vehicle’s console.
When he noticed the theft on Nov. 24, the vehicle was parked under the carport of his home on Stephen Franklin Drive. He did not know when the theft occurred.
Dec. 3
Ellis Road (aggravated burglary)
Someone broke into an Ellis Road home by removing a window air conditioning unit between Nov. 25 and Nov. 30. The resident reported the break-in on Dec. 3.
Items stolen included a Hammer Hawk 12-gauge double-barrelled shotgun ($200), a .22 caliber single bolt action rifle of unknown brand ($150), a ladies’ diamond ring ($350) and a .410 caliber shotgun of unknown brand ($100).
Charles Bryan Road (auto burglary)
Someone stole a purse from a van parked at Ave Maria Adult Day Care Center (2805 Charles Bryan Road) on Dec. 3. The purse was on the vehicle’s front floorboard.
Dec. 4
Devine Street (auto burglary)
Someone broke into an unlocked truck while it was parked in front of a Devine Street home between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 3 and 7 a.m. Dec. 4. The only item stolen was a Garmin GPS unit ($85) that was left atop the vehicle’s center console.
Azalea Hill Cove (vandalism)
Someone stole a brake caliper from the passenger-side front of a Ford F150, the owner reported on Dec. 4. The truck was parked on the street in front of an Azalea Hill Cove home.
Dec. 6
Juneway Drive (trailer theft)
A woman reported that someone stole her trailer and lawn equipment from her Juneway Drive yard sometime between 6 p.m. Dec. 5 and 9 a.m. Dec. 6.
Bristol Park Drive (vandalism)
A woman was moving into an apartment on Bristol Park Drive on Dec. 7 when she noticed the door jamb was cracked as if someone had tried to force entry.
The responding officer found a shoeprint on the left side of the door but determined that no intruder had entered the apartment.
The woman said the deadbolt was still locked when she arrived.
