Bartlett native Craig P. Sanders, a partner at the law firm of Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell PLC, has been selected as one of the Jackson Sun’s Forty Under 40 Class of 2015.

The Jackson Sun and the Jackson Chamber of Commerce have recognized 40 West Tennesseans under the age of 40 who are making significant contributions to making West Tennessee a better place to live and work through their work, industry, company or community.

The requirements for each candidate are to be 39 years old or younger as of Dec. 31, 2015; live or work in West Tennessee outside Shelby County; serve as a role model to others in their profession or community; and display creativity in innovation and contributes these talents to the growth of their profession or community.

Sanders concentrates his law practice in the areas of medical malpractice defense and professional liability defense. He was named a “Rising Star” in the area of medical malpractice defense by Law & Politics Mid-South Super Lawyers magazine. He also is a former president of the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association, a graduate of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Leadership Law Program, co-chair of the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association’s Professional Negligence and Healthcare Section, and an adjunct faculty member in Union University’s Continuing StSanders received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law, magna cum laude, in 2002, where he served as a member of the Tennessee Law Review and National Moot Court Team.
