NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bartlett received a top honor from the Tennessee Municipal League last week.

Bartlett was recognized with a 2016 Tennessee Municipal League Achievement Award for Excellence in Parks and Recreation. The awarded was presented on Tuesday, June 14, during TML’s 77th Annual Conference in Tennessee Ballroom of the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg.

In 2015, Bartlett’s Parks and Recreation Department managed more than 960 acres of parkland, hosted hundreds of events and provided recreation activities for thousands of residents.

The department also committed to improving one of its oldest parks through a renovation project designed to maximize use of the park’s potential.
