Bartlett holds fireworks festival

The City of Bartlett will hold its annual fireworks night from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the Bobby K. Flaherty Municipal Center, corner of Highway 70 and Appling Road. fireworks

The Bartlett Community Concert Band will start playing at 6:30, followed by 240 Loop at 8:15. Activities including a car display, games for the children, face painting and concessions will be available. The fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
Appling Road between Southern Way and Flaherty Place will start closing to traffic at 5 p.m. For details, call 385-5589 or email communityrelations@cityofbartlett.org.

    Left our viewing spot after 10:00 pm because we never saw any fireworks!!!! Wonder what was happening??

      The fireworks were good, but there was some sort of fire followed by an explosion at the end, not a firework explosion, but a fireball, felt a heat-blast from where I was a good few hundred yards away. No clue what happened.

        The fire at the end was the same as last year. The delay I heard was due to the controller board cooking itself right before the start so they had to rewire in a new one.They should have told the crowd what was going on rather than letting everyone sit there for over an hour with nothing said.
