In a brief Sept. 26 board meeting, the Bartlett mayor and city board approved bids for a fire station generator, police vehicles and two projects.
The board also set a public hearing for Oct. 24 on an amended special use permit to add an independent living facility with memory care to the assisted living facility that will be located north of U.S. 64. It will be on the northeast corner of New Brunswick and Brunswick roads.
Board approvals included:
- The lowest bid for the Old Brownsville Road Sewer Project, Phase 1. The bid went to Enscor LLC in the amount of $206,980 plus a contingency amount of $23,020 for a total cost of $230,000.
- The lowest bid for the Oak Road detention basic project. The bid went to Enscor LLC, in the amount of $38,416 plus a contingency amount of $11,584 for a total cost of $50,000.
- The lowest bid for four police pursuit vehicles. The bid went to AutoNation at $21,074.58 each for four 2018 Ford Taurus SE vehicles for a total cost of $84,298.32.
- The lowest bid for a generator to be used at Fire Station #3. The bid went to Benchmark Electric at a cost of $57,574.
- The lowest bid for an aerator media replacement for the city’s Water Treatment Plant #4. The bid went to Waterserv Company in the amount of $31,450, plus a contingency amount of $3,550 plus $1,000 to A2H for engineering administration for a total cost of $36,000.
- The subdivision contract for Morris Commercial. The developer, MJM Germantown GP, will pay $47,102.64 in city fees. The bond is set at $90,020.
- A water extension contract for Chick-fil-A. The developer, Chick-fil-A, will pay $8,154 in city fees. The bond is set at $21,475.
- A special event permit for the Memphis Euro Fest Car Show to be held 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 7 at Youth Villages on Memphis Arlington.
