Jones Bros. Tree & Landscape, which has served Memphis and Mid-South residents for decades, has joined The Davey Tree Expert Company.
Jones Bros. has roots going back to 1938 in the Memphis area. Davey’s Memphis office opened in 1990, giving both companies a combined 100-plus years of experience serving the market. Jones Bros. is known for providing residential tree assessments, tree care and tree removal. During its long history, the company has leveraged experience and expertise along with emerging technologies and equipment to care for Mid-South trees. Jones Bros. has many notable clients, including a number of area Fortune 500 companies.
“Our clients will continue to receive timely, reliable and exceptional service,” said Bob Jurgens, owner and president of Jones Bros. since 1975. “Now, we’ll be able to offer them access to the Davey Institute, the company’s premier research, development and innovation division, so our arborists will be better able to diagnose their tree conditions. Our 30-plus employees will have the opportunity to become employee-owners of Davey as well.”
Davey Tree will merge its Memphis operations into the Jones Bros. office in Bartlett. Jurgens will serve as the district manager. He is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist and holds a commercial pesticide license.
Nathan Baker, district manager of Davey’s Memphis office, will join Michael Jurgens as assistant district manager. He is also an ISA Certified Arborist.
