Arlington falls to Bartlett in district tourney: The Arlington Tigers will have an opportunity to play Bartlett again in the District 9 tournament if they are able to beat Bolton on May 7 in the semifinals. Arlington fell 7-2 to the Panthers on Monday, which means the Tigers must knock off Bolton in order to play Bartlett again and secure a spot in the Region tournament next Monday. Panthers advance to district finals: The Bartlett Panthers knocked off Arlington 7-2 on Monday in the District 9 playoffs. They were scheduled to play in the district finals on Wednesday before Region play begins on May 13. Jalen Fithian scored three runs for the Panthers and Brayden Matthews and Brayden Arendale had two runs each. Arendale also got the start on the pitcher’s mound and had four strike-outs.
