Bartlett amends trailer/vehicle zoning, awards bids

seal of bartlettAt the Oct. 27 board meeting, Bartlett’s mayor and city board passed ordinances to limit where unlicensed vehicles or trailers can be parked and to give site developers a chance to vary from the usual minimum number of parking spaces.

The ordinances will have public hearings on Nov. 24.

Both ordinances amended an existing city zoning ordinance:

  • Ordinance 15-05 notes that trailers not stored in an enclosed building must be stored behind the front elevation of the house.
  • Ordinance 15-06 authorizes the Bartlett Planning Commission to diverge from the usual minimum number of parking spaces at the time the site plan is approved. This would require the applicant to present information that a different number is sufficient and appropriate.
