Bartlett a la Carte to offer tasty samples April 30
Foodies who love to try new tidbits and sip samples of wine and beer should be sure to check out a popular annual event this weekend. Bartlett a la Carte will be a tempting event on April 30.
The two-hour food-lovers’ party will begin at 5 p.m. at the Colonial Country Club, 2736 Countrywood Parkway, Cordova. BACC bills it as a fun-filled evening of food, beverages and socializing with a silent auction. A piano jazz quartet will keep the festive atmosphere going throughout the night.
The event currently has drawn about 24 participating vendors who are allowed to showcase their wares at no cost. Typically, 300 or more people show up for Bartlett a la Carte each year.
Tickets to the event are $45 for individuals, $80 for a couple and $400 for a block of 10 tickets. The proceeds will benefit Youth Villages.
Bartlett a la Carte is presented by BACC and the Northeast Shelby Country Rotary Club, and it is sponsored by Brother.

Registration still open for May 5 golf tournament
The BACC is finalizing the teams for next Friday’s BACC Stakeholders’ Cup, their 2017 golf tournament. The event will begin with 11 a.m. registration on May 5, followed by a 1 p.m. tee time. The golfing will be in a scramble format with a shotgun start.
The event is limited to 36 teams (144 players), but a BACC spokesman said Friday that the Chamber still has slots open for teams who want to compete. The entry cost is $700 per team.
Attendees can expect to receive lunch, snacks, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, goodie bags for every golfer, and plenty of prizes and other giveaways.
The Chamber also welcomes sponsors who wand to support the event with funds or in-kind contributions.
