Aw shucks: Taking aim with a corny gun

The corn cannon at the Agricenter International’s corn maze draws the interest of many vegetable gunners who’ve got a dollar to plunk down in exchange for three shots. Daniel Johnson, 13, a student at Bon Lin Middle School in Bartlett, gave it his best shot on Sunday. The maze itself this year includes the shape of a sunflower and a bee, and it will be open now through Nov. 4 on these dates: Thursdays-Sundays in September and November and Wednesdays-Sundays in October. Other fun includes the Haunted Maze on weekend nights, the haunted hayride and the giant Jumping Pillow. See more details at midsouthmaze.com. Photo by John Collins.
