Bartlett Festival to welcome all Sept. 25-26

Save some room for that famous carnival funnel cake and a cup of lemonade, and be sure to stop by the Bartlett Festival and Car Show this weekend.

Halloween Bash to give $1,000 costume prize

Transformations Autism Treatment Center in Bartlett is building up major event in October.

“Halloween Bash — A Scary Good Time” will begin at 9 p.m. Oct. 31 at Minglewood Hall in Memphis.

Music will be provided by the band Free World and iconic local DJ Stan Bell. The “Amurica” photo booth will be present as well as a palm reader to add to the Halloween fun.

The evening will culminate with the costume contest. Prizes will be awarded to the top five costumes, including a $1,000.00 grand prize.

BPD is hosting drug takeback this Saturday

medicationBe a good citizen and take advantage of what the Bartlett Police Department is offering this weekend.

They will accept and dispose of your old over-the-counter or prescription tablets, pills, gels and liquids for people or pets) this Saturday. (No needles, please.)

Look for the officers from 10 a.m.until 2 p.m. Sept. 26 at Kroger at U.S. 70 and Appling (7615 U.S. 70, Bartlett).

They will accepted dropped-off prescription medicine, over-the-counter (OTC) medicing and even pet medicine. Tablets, pills, gels, and liquids are all fine, but hypodermic needles will not be accepted. All donated drugs will be incinerated.
