Bartlett shortens usual route for Dec. 5 parade
Get out your lawn chairs, hot cocoa and warm jackets, because Bartlett will have its Christmas parade at 4 p.m. Dec. 5. This year’s theme is “The Magic of Christmas,” and the route is shorter. Floats and marching groups will move along Stage Road between Elmore Park and Bartlett Blvd. Stage Road will be closed at 2:30 p.m. so participants can line up.
The route will begin at Bartlett Boulevard and proceed west on Stage Road to Shelby Street. This area will close to traffic at 3:30 p.m.
The parade will have two review stands with emcees to announce the entries as they move past.
The first will be on the rightside of Stage Road between Walgreens and the library, and the second will be on the right side in front of the shopping center where National College is located.

BACC, Kiwanis ask members to support needy youths with gifts
Bartlett Area Chamber and Kiwanis members have made it their tradition since 1993 to reach out to approximately 100 children at the Youth Villages Bartlett Campus by purchasing and wrapping gifts and providing a Christmas party for the residents.
Those who provide Christmas for these children are truly heroes. Heroes can be individuals, or businesses can sponsor one or several youth.
