July 17 drive: Giving blood means giving life

The Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a blood drive with the help of Lifeblood from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. July 17. The event will be at a mobile blood unit parked at the Bartlett Chamber Office (2969 Elmore Park Road).

Donors should eat before arrival and bring a photo ID.

Verandah music to brighten afternoon for wine sippers Saturday

Delta Blues Winery logoLakeland’s musically talented superintendent of Education, Dr. Ted Horrell, will perform with his friends, Central Station, at the Delta Blues Winery on Saturday afternoon.

The performance will be 3-6 p.m. on the winery’s verandah at 6585 Stewart Road, Lakeland.
