Tax-free buys get children set for school year

It’s hard to believe that the 2015-16 school year starts on Monday. Are you ready?

The state’s annual tax-free weekend is a great chance to stock up on some bargains. The tax break will last from 12:01 a.m. Aug. 7 through 11:59 p.m. Aug. 9.

Items that qualify include clothes purchases of $100 or less, school supplies of $100 or less, and computers of $1,500 or less. See details and restrictions online at bit.ly/no-tax2015.
