High school fans get all the info for fall football

Bartlett 9th Grade Academy plans book drive

booksBartlett Academy is hosting a book drive for young adult fiction/nonfiction books Sept. 1-8.

The public is invited to drop off books at the school office that week.

The books will be added to the school’s Little Free Library in the foyer, providing students with as many free books as they desire throughout the school year.

The school is at 4734 Shadowlawn Road, and hours are 7 a.m.-2 p.m. weekdays.

Chamber plans program about Dept. of Labor changes to rule

Members of the public are invited to a presentation on current requirements and proposed changes to a Department of Labor rule.

The event, organized by the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce, will be 8:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Holiday Inn & Suites Wolfchase Galleria at 2751 New Brunswick Road, Memphis.
Admission is free to chamber members and $25 for non-members.

Registration is required by noon Sept. 1.
