Movies in the Park kicks off this Friday night
We’re ready for a picnic basket, some comfy chairs and a great big screen in the great big outdoors.
That translates to Bartlett Station Movies in the Park, starting its third season this weekend.

Take a chance on pickleball in charity event
The second Spring Fling Pickleball Tournament benefiting Youth Villages is coming up this weekend. Look for the fun on April 10-11 at the Bartlett Recreation Center and Singleton Community Center.
Last year’s event attacted 100 players; this year that number will be doubled.
Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America. It’s easy to learn and provides low-impact exercise for people of all ages. The sport combines tennis and ping-pong, and it is played on a relatively small court (the size of a badminton court).
The net is slighly lower that a tennis net, and players use paddles that are about twice the size of ping-pong paddle.

Bartlett mayor to speak on ‘State of the City’ April 14
Bartlett business people will not want to miss the “State of the City” address to be provided by mayor Keith McDonald on April 14. He will speak at the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce monthly lunch meeting.
The event will begin with networking at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and McDonald’s speech. The event will be at the Bartlett Event Center (5785 Stage Road, Bartlett).
Space is limited; attendees should RSVP online the BACC site by noon April 13. Tickets are $20 per person.
